Fun MUN 101 (FM101) is the perfect starting point for beginners to Model United Nations (MUN), or those who want a refresher. These interactive workshops will help build your confidence in public speaking, debate and diplomacy—allowing you to step into the shoes of a global leader.

This event serves as an introduction to our Inter-School MUN, happening later this year. Attending FM101 will give you a strong foundation to participate in larger conferences with confidence. All FM101 delegates will have priority registration to this limited-capacity event.

Event Workshops

Basics of MUN

Learn how a MUN conference flows from beginning to end. We will teach you the key rules, procedural motions and the flow of debate. You will gain a solid understanding of how to present your country’s stance effectively and navigate different types of discussion.

Resolutions and Amendments

Master the art of writing draft resolutions by negotiating with allies and considering your country’s perspective. Learn how to propose amendments and participate in voting, an essential skill for MUN delegates.

Speeches

Improve your public speaking skills with interactive activities. You will learn how to write a speech, how to craft persuasive arguments and deliver confidently. Whether you need refinement, or are new to public speaking, this workshop will help you become as a strong delegate.

We are a group of passionate students from Rototuna Senior High School—Year 12, 13 and tertiary level—dedicated to encourage students to lead and speak up. With our extensive experience in hosting MUN events, we are excited to guide you on your journey to becoming a confident MUN delegate.
